GIANT Standalone Lat & Low Row

It was hard to find reviews for this unit, but after watching Glucks review I was pretty convinced. I was deciding between this one and the bells of steel one, but for almost $400 less this was a no brainer. I was pretty surprised that they hadn’t fixed the assembly issue which was that none of the bolts come labelled and that the included measuring tape is off. After labeling all the pieces and following their online assembly guide, it only took about 2 hours to put together. Some steps in their guide aren’t listed… you just have to assume. Also they make a mistake where you attach all the pulleys but then have to remove them to feed the cords… kind of annoying. For how small the footprint of the unit is, it’s pretty stable overall. I love how small it is cause we can never get more space in the garage gym community. Once lubed with silicone lube, the guide rods and pulleys are pretty dang smooth. I’m 5’10 and can get a full stretch without issues. The foam and vinyl feel good but I wish that the thigh pads were just a few inches further from the seat. Once I lock in for lat pulldowns the thigh pads become more like… groin pads, it’s hard to describe. Either way, its still functional. Very happy with this purchase and have no issues recommending to anyone.

The lat tower itself is good, about as described by Gluck. I had some damage, contacted Giant and after some emails lost in a spam folder, was contacted by Travis. He was willing to make right and diligent in his efforts. I had already adapted by appreciated the effort. Watch the assembly video and its not difficult to assemble.

Product came with some small chips in the paint but not a deal breaker. That being said I still give it five stars because this machine functions exceptionally well. Its pulleys are super smooth, it is a very stable unit even with a smaller footprint (which I like). Very versatile and a GREAT VALUE. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a machine that won’t take up a ton of space and performs as well as more expensive products on the market.

I have absolutely no complaints. The machine is great, solid high quality and the foot rest comes in attached now to make it easier to assemble. Great addition to the gym at a very low cost, and local company with fast shipping. I’ll absolutely order more of their products, as long as they keep shipping with UPS instead of Fedex.

The lat pull down and low row combo is a great addition to my home gym, but I love the additional functionality. Tricep push downs, side raises, and curls are just a few of many exercises. The rail system seems pretty solid so far, but I may add some WD-40 to help the smoothness. The aluminum pulleys are great. The only reason I am deducting a star is due to the assembly directions. They are not extremely helpful, but it wasn’t too difficult to figure out. Took me about 2 hours to assemble by myself.
