The standalone lat and low row does fine. It's a budget-friendly option for anyone wanting this type of cable utility without breaking the bank. The caveat is that the items will definitely arrive with cosmetic issues due to the manner of packing. And the 1-page 'directions' along with the non-savable youtube video (why is it listed as a youtube kids video?!) that you have to go back to their website to find/access are lacking. The single page directions are packaged with the hardware, and it was shredded when it arrived. The hardware isn't labeled or separated and the device has been updated slightly since the video was made, so some of the items are 'similar but different'. If you're shopping in this budget level, you're probably used to 'figuring it out' and putting things together on your own. If that appeals to you, it's a great machine for the price.
The only hang up I have of this product is the assembly process. The instructions aren’t very clear and the screws aren’t labeled. You need both the sheet of paper and a YouTube video that isn’t extremely helpful but definitely more useful than the paper.
Absolutely perfect. This is the best lat pull down for the money. Easy to put together and use. Seems very durable and I have no doubt it will lat me a long time.
The machine came with a few blemishes to the paint. No big deal, but it was a little disappointing because the scratches could have been avoided with a little styrofoam or cardboard. The biggest problem I had was with the weight carriage. It wasn’t completed cleaned before it was painted and so it was full of steel blast media that was rattling around inside it. Again, no huge deal…I shook it out and continued on. However, I failed to realize that the threads that that accept the cable bolt were full of steel blast media before it was painted and it began to gall the cable bolt when I attempted to screw it again. I had to go to my local hardware store and purchase a M12x1.75 tap and die to chase the threads in the weight carriage and the in the cable bolt. I was able to finish assembly after that. The machine is working great so far, but I have no choice but to knock off a star for the hassle of buying a tap and die thst I’ll likely never need again.
Quality machine at the price point. The online tutorial helps with putting it together. Although it would be nice if the screw types/numbers were labeled on the cardboard
