I’ve been extremely impressed with the Giant BD3X Axis rack. The build quality is outstanding—everything feels rock solid, and the finish is excellent. Assembly was straightforward, and once it was together there was virtually no wobble, even during heavy lifts.

One thing that really helped during setup was the YouTube instructional video. It was a massive help and made the entire assembly process much easier and more efficient than I expected.

The integrated functional trainer has been a game changer for my workouts. The cables are so smooth—easily some of the smoothest I’ve used on any home or commercial setup. Being able to transition seamlessly between barbell movements, cable exercises, and accessories makes it incredibly versatile while saving a ton of space.

My gym is actually set up outside and exposed to the elements, and even with dust and outdoor conditions, the cable system and guide rods continue to run incredibly smoothly. I’ve been genuinely surprised at how well it holds up in that environment.

The trolley system also deserves a mention—it operates smoothly with one hand thanks to the rollers, which makes adjustments quick and effortless mid-workout.

I also appreciate that Giant continues to expand the accessory lineup. The rack has been easy to customize, and it feels like a piece of equipment I’ll be able to grow with for years.

If you’re looking for a premium 3x3 rack with a functional trainer that doesn’t carry the premium price tag of some competitors, the BD3X Axis deserves to be at the top of your list. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.

Fantastic piece of equipment and an excellent value for the quality. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have a low ceiling and had to buy the shorter version. At 6'2", I was concerned it might be too short, but I've had no issues performing lat pulldowns, triceps extensions, or any other exercises. The unit is extremely stable, well-built, and feels very solid during workouts. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, space-efficient setup.

By far the nicest rack I’ve had and I previously had a Clearcoat REP PR5000! The concrete gray is fantastic! The pulleys are fantastic! The ease of assembly is dummy proof! Trolley arms are super smooth! These guys knocked it out of the park with this rack!

First off I’ll start by saying the equipment is solid! Finish looks great and customer service has been top notch! I will say I’m a little upset that when I purchased I thought it came with the large name header top crossmember. To my surprise that option is no longer offered. That look is much cleaner and makes the rack look better imo and I would’ve loved the option to have that instead and if that option isn’t available anymore then the advertising should be updated to reflect so. Secondly I ordered the upgraded weight stack and only received the standard, lighter stack. These reasons are the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I will say that the customer service has seemed to be proactive to this point so I’m hopeful they will resolve the weight stack issue.

Replaced my older wall mounted Giant wall rack with this one and couldn't be happier. Came with a defective trolly from the factory and the Giant guys immediately replaced it with no hesitation. Great bang for buck. Wish I woulda got the 210lb stack, but thats on ne for not wanting to wait.

This thing is a GEM, a steal of a deal. Buttery smooth pulley action, solid attachments, heavy and sturdy, doesn't budget. Plus the price is right for everything you get. I got the upgraded weight stack and glad that I did. Also, the concrete grey is really a nice original color that I'm glad I went with.

When the truck pulled up, it felt like Christmas morning—an impressive stack of well-labeled boxes, each featuring a picture of the part inside. That attention to detail made organizing and prepping for assembly so much easier.

Assembly Process
After some garage painting and organizing, I tackled assembly solo. GIANT’s step-by-step YouTube video was a lifesaver—I didn’t even crack open the written instructions. The process was straightforward and enjoyable, especially since I’d been anticipating this build for so long. Pro Tip: Before starting, grab two large sockets or wrenches—the bolts and nuts are massive. Once you have the right tools, assembly is simply a matter of following the video step by step. Once assembled, I was blown away by the quality.

Cable System: Exceptionally smooth—feels like commercial-grade equipment.
Weight Stacks: I initially ordered 160 lbs but quickly realized I wanted more. I called GIANT, and they made the upgrade to 210 lbs effortless—just invoiced me for the difference and updated the order correctly.
Stability: The front foot stubs add peace of mind against tip-overs, and the entire unit is heavy and solid. This thing isn’t going anywhere.
Finish: Looks fantastic—clean welds, durable coating, and an overall premium feel. Everything is well-packed in bubble wrap and the cardboard boxes are thick. Nothing arrived damaged.

This purchase was the perfect launch point for my home gym build. All around it has rock-solid build quality, and unbeatable value. Initially I was looking at plate loaded racks, but the Axis was so competitively priced it persuaded me away. The convenience of the selectorized weight can't be emphasized enough. The value is amazing, especially with the weight stack upgrades. The cable exercises are smooth and the trolley isn't too heavy. The customer service was a huge plus for me as well. My rack was received with some unfortunate freight damage. I let them know how it arrived and weeks later after it was all set up I told them what I found. They have gone above and beyond to resolve my issues. In the end, the rack can compete with any of the big brands, the deal was second to none, and their service is top notch. I researched half-rack functional trainers for months before buying this. I compared it closely against the Fringe Dane 2.0, REP Altitude, Mikolo 2.0, Titan setups, and pieced-together rack + cable builds. I dug into steel specs, hole sizing, cable ratios, and long-term compatibility.

I’ll be honest — the lack of in-depth reviews from people like Gluck or other major reviewers gave me pause. There just wasn’t much out there. But based on specs and pricing (especially on sale), I took the chance.

After building it and getting my first workout in, I can confidently say: this thing is an absolute steal.

The 3×3 / 1” ecosystem is legit. The 210 lb stacks (2:1) feel substantial when connected. The rack is rigid. The footprint is efficient. It competes far above its price point.

The process wasn’t perfect. Freight arrived rough. The wrong cables were initially sent. Two factory-installed bolts orientation required extra work to correct. But here’s the part that matters: every issue was acknowledged and resolved. Replacement parts were shipped quickly, communication was direct, and they issued a goodwill credit.

Could QC improve? Yes.
Did they stand behind the product? Also yes.

If you’re someone who does deep research and understands trade-offs in this category, I think you’ll come away feeling the same way: this is serious equipment at a very fair price. Frankly, once more credible reviewers get their hands on it, I wouldn’t be surprised to see demand - and pricing - move.

I reviewed many products of similar configuration and settled on the tall half rack unit as thats what fits my needs. As a long tome weight lifter, and older now, I appreciate the company putting their efforts into the mechanics of the units, pulleys and cables. Also I did receive the wrong length cables, but before I had a chance to notify them of the issue I received an email that they had already discovered the issue and new cables were already in the mail. Thats called being on top of your of customer service mistakes will happen but its good to know the place where you spend your money is actually looking out for their customer satisfaction. Great unit, very smooth mechanics, very satisfied. Thank you Giant Lifting.

Fantastic deal. We love the equipment and pickup was easy! Very helpful staff.

The product itself is outstanding and works as described. The setup and some minor flaws with the accessories bring it down a notch.
There was a screw missing from one of the spotter arms and a j-cup with a misaligned screw that had to be removed so the j-cup could set properly. The setup instructions was a video I found online and followed ,otherwise, it would have been a guessing game.

The stand works as described with the smoothest cable system I've ever owned and looks awesome in my workout space. Worth the investment.

I set up the Axis 4-Post to use primarily as a functional trainer next to my REP pr-4000. In comparison, the Axis is a nicer rack, Shipping went well, assembly was easier than I expected. Overall, great experience. I recommend this rack.

I chose to update my home gym as the cable/pulley system on my old, 90's weight wrack was... problematic and rate-limiting step at times. So I targeted the pulley system when searching for a replacement. The website put out a pretty compelling story that they prioritized the pulley system so, along with the decent price, free shipping and $700 coupon, I took the plunge and purchased the BD3X functional trainer.

One other item that was key for me was the option for a shorter cage. The short version barely fits with in my finished basement and does add some limitations, but most other trainers on the market simple were not an option for me.

Delivery was reasonably speedy.

Installation could have gone much better. The video was helpful, but far from complete. Certain details were glossed over. In particular the cable adjustment handles come as L and R. The paper instructions (predominately images, very little dialogue) did state L and R, but I followed the video. I got them wrong and take credit for this oversight... couldn't wait to get at it, but it could have been more clear. Having to disassemble a good deal of it far down stream when it was clear there were issues led to the assembly taking >6h.

There were other things in the video/instructions that were less than ideal or missing such as you need a monster socket (36mm and 1/2" socket wrench) which I didn't have (outside of a farm and a combine, not sure why anybody would?!!!). Having to go get them AFTER it arrived (could have done this while being shipped) was frustrating and added more time to the assembly.
That being said... once assembled... I love it!!! The cables/pulleys are as smooth as promised. The 11g steal is imposing and the cage is solid. With the industry standard 3x3 cage and 1" openings the list of available options that can be added is immense! So many more exercises are now available to me I don't know where to begin! My workouts (for now) are rather inefficient as there are SO many new things to try! Lovely problem to have!
I've been using it for about 2 wks now, so a bit premature but I wish I had done this sooner and would definitely do it again!
