Build Your AXIS

Choose your color. Personalize your rack with one of three upright colors: Space Black, Concrete Gray, or Volcanic Red. All crossmembers are finished in Space Black for a clean, consistent appearance.

Choose your weight stack. The AXIS comes standard with dual 160 lb steel weight stacks (320 lbs total). Need more resistance? Upgrade to dual 210 lb weight stacks (420 lbs total) during checkout. If you start with the standard 160 lb version, you'll be able to upgrade later with our upcoming conversion kit.

Choose your pull-up bar. Every AXIS Rack includes our 1.25" EZ Grip Pull-Up Bar. Want more grip options? Upgrade to the Multi-Grip Pull-Up Bar for 3 grip positions: straight, angled, and neutral.

Upgrade your cable system. The AXIS comes standard with our adjustable trolley system, so you can position the pulleys anywhere along the uprights. Want even more versatility? Upgrade to the AXIS Bazooka Arms, with 180° of horizontal rotation and 180° of vertical adjustment for nearly unlimited cable positioning.

What's Included

  • Dual 160 lb steel weight stacks with matte black powder coat (320 lbs total)
  • Adjustable AXIS trolleys
  • Pair of 3X 2.0 J-Cups
  • Standard 1.25" EZ Grip Pull-Up Bar
  • Pair of D-Handles
  • Black anodized aluminum ball-bearing pulleys with polyurethane coating
  • 3/16" polyurethane-coated, aircraft-grade 7×19 cables
  • Heavy-duty machined steel guide rods
  • Premium black zinc hardware and all required assembly hardware

What Makes the AXIS Different?

Smooth isn't an accident, it's engineered. Many functional trainers rely on hollow guide rods that allow unwanted movement, vibration, and noise throughout the weight stack. The AXIS uses heavy-duty machined steel guide rods that connect to a precision-machined aluminum alignment bracket, keeping the weight stacks centered throughout every repetition.

We paired plastic-lined weight plates with black anodized aluminum ball-bearing pulleys and 3/16" aircraft-grade polyurethane-coated cables for an exceptionally smooth pull from top to bottom.

Premium Trolley System

Laser number alignment: a built-in viewing window lines up with the laser-cut numbers on the uprights, making adjustments fast, accurate, and repeatable.

Oversized locking pin: easy to grab and locks securely into position.

Knurled handle: a volcano-pattern knurled handle gives a secure grip every time you reposition the trolley.

Training Options

The AXIS combines the versatility of a functional trainer with the strength of a commercial power rack. Perform hundreds of exercises, including bench press, shoulder press, pull-ups, lat pulldowns, cable flyes, rows, face pulls, triceps extensions, biceps curls, squats, lunges, Romanian deadlifts, cable kickbacks, cable crunches, wood chops, rotational training, deadlifts, and squat to press.

Continue Building Your Rack

Available accessories include the AXIS Bazooka Arms, Heavy-Duty Spotter Arms, Front Stabilizer Feet, Multi-Grip Pull-Up Bar, Dip Station, Landmine Attachment, Weight Storage Pegs, Pegboard Storage, Storage Shelves, Lat Seat, Leg Roller, and future AXIS attachments.

Spotter Arms, Front Stabilizer Feet, Bazooka Arms, Multi-Grip Pull-Up Bar, and other accessories shown in product images are sold separately unless selected during configuration. Images and videos show the details and quality of our AXIS Rack, but we want you to have the freedom to build it to your needs.

The optional AXIS Front Foot Stability Stubs provide enough stability to use the AXIS Rack without bolting it to the floor for lifts up to 500 lbs of working weight. Without the Front Foot Stability Stubs installed, the rack must be securely anchored to a concrete floor using appropriate concrete anchors to ensure safe use.

Solid Build and Ridiculously Smooth

After spending a lot of time researching and comparing different options online, I ended up going with the Giant Lifting BD3X, and I’m really happy with my choice. The quality is great. Everything feels solid and well built, the finish looks really good, and overall it feels like you’re getting a lot for the price.

If there’s one thing I would change, I’d add another crossmember across the lower back of the rack. It’s already pretty solid, but I think that extra support would help with stability, especially when doing heavier lat pulldowns.

I’m 5’8” and went with the 82.5-inch version because the taller one wouldn’t fit in my garage. It works perfectly fine for me, but if you have the ceiling clearance, I’d probably go with the taller version. The extra height would definitely be nice for some exercises. Now, the Bazooka Arms are probably my favorite part. They’re stupidly smooth. I honestly have to imagine there are bearings or rollers everywhere, including the cable pulleys, because everything moves so effortlessly. I don’t know exactly what Giant uses internally, but whatever they did, it works. The movement is incredibly smooth and feels very close to what you’d expect from commercial gym equipment.
The trolleys are also super smooth with basically no play or wobble. They’re a little heavier with the Bazooka Arms attached, but that’s expected considering how solid and beefy the arms are. Even with the extra weight, they glide up and down very easily.

Overall, I’m really happy with the BD3X and the Bazooka Arms. It’s solid, versatile, incredibly smooth, and feels like a great value for the money. Great job by the Giant Lifting team

This thing is serious

This thing is serious. The welds are nicely done, no spatter or porosity i can notice. The paint is clean and looks great. We went with a multi color theme to just mix things up. Added the extra weight stack and it should be plenty for a long time. I like how the spotter arms have a locking mechanism so they can't come off on their own. Pullys are buttery smooth thanks to the aluminum pulleys. Definitely recommend if your looking for a lifetime piece of equipment and this is that.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve been extremely impressed with the Giant BD3X Axis rack. The build quality is outstanding—everything feels rock solid, and the finish is excellent. Assembly was straightforward, and once it was together there was virtually no wobble, even during heavy lifts.

One thing that really helped during setup was the YouTube instructional video. It was a massive help and made the entire assembly process much easier and more efficient than I expected.

The integrated functional trainer has been a game changer for my workouts. The cables are so smooth—easily some of the smoothest I’ve used on any home or commercial setup. Being able to transition seamlessly between barbell movements, cable exercises, and accessories makes it incredibly versatile while saving a ton of space.

My gym is actually set up outside and exposed to the elements, and even with dust and outdoor conditions, the cable system and guide rods continue to run incredibly smoothly. I’ve been genuinely surprised at how well it holds up in that environment.

The trolley system also deserves a mention—it operates smoothly with one hand thanks to the rollers, which makes adjustments quick and effortless mid-workout.

I also appreciate that Giant continues to expand the accessory lineup. The rack has been easy to customize, and it feels like a piece of equipment I’ll be able to grow with for years.

If you’re looking for a premium 3x3 rack with a functional trainer that doesn’t carry the premium price tag of some competitors, the BD3X Axis deserves to be at the top of your list. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.

BD3X AXIS 4 Post Functional Trainer Half Rack 82.5"

Fantastic piece of equipment and an excellent value for the quality. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have a low ceiling and had to buy the shorter version. At 6'2", I was concerned it might be too short, but I've had no issues performing lat pulldowns, triceps extensions, or any other exercises. The unit is extremely stable, well-built, and feels very solid during workouts. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, space-efficient setup.

Do not hesitate with buying this rack!

By far the nicest rack I’ve had and I previously had a Clearcoat REP PR5000! The concrete gray is fantastic! The pulleys are fantastic! The ease of assembly is dummy proof! Trolley arms are super smooth! These guys knocked it out of the park with this rack!

Travis and Hunter from Giant were top notch as well! Well done boys. Very happy and satisfied customer here!

Recent axis purchase

First off I’ll start by saying the equipment is solid! Finish looks great and customer service has been top notch! I will say I’m a little upset that when I purchased I thought it came with the large name header top crossmember. To my surprise that option is no longer offered. That look is much cleaner and makes the rack look better imo and I would’ve loved the option to have that instead and if that option isn’t available anymore then the advertising should be updated to reflect so. Secondly I ordered the upgraded weight stack and only received the standard, lighter stack. These reasons are the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I will say that the customer service has seemed to be proactive to this point so I’m hopeful they will resolve the weight stack issue.

Great rack for small space

Replaced my older wall mounted Giant wall rack with this one and couldn't be happier. Came with a defective trolly from the factory and the Giant guys immediately replaced it with no hesitation. Great bang for buck. Wish I woulda got the 210lb stack, but thats on ne for not wanting to wait.

RUN DON"T WALK

This thing is a GEM, a steal of a deal. Buttery smooth pulley action, solid attachments, heavy and sturdy, doesn't budget. Plus the price is right for everything you get. I got the upgraded weight stack and glad that I did. Also, the concrete grey is really a nice original color that I'm glad I went with.

Thanks so much for the review! We are glad you are liking your rack!

Giant Half Rack/Functional Trainer

I wanted to optimize the floor space in my garage. I had a 6 post rack and separate functional trainer. Decided on the Giant rack with functional trainer because of the price and quality of the rack. I try to watch assembly videos before purchasing so I can see all the little details. After watching almost every manufactures videos, went with Giant. This was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!!!

Hi Gary, thanks so much for the review! We are glad you are liking the rack and love seeing the photos of the setup!

Incredible Quality and Value – Perfect for My Garage Gym!

I’ve been planning to build a garage gym for years, and the process was anything but quick—I spent countless hours watching YouTube reviews, comparing specs, filling carts on different sites, measuring my space, and second-guessing every decision. Then, during Black Friday week, I stumbled upon the Giant Fitness and their BD3X Axis 4-Post - Half Rack Functional Trainer, and it immediately stood out as the perfect solution.

Functionality: This bundle combines a half rack with a functional trainer, giving me everything I need for barbell work and cable exercises in one footprint. The specs are in alignment with leading industry standards which will give me versatility with attachments down the road. It has 3x3 uprights with 1-inch holes and 11-gauge steel... perfect.

Value: The price was significantly lower than similar offerings from Rogue, Rep, and other big names— and to my delight I found without sacrificing quality. That was a huge factor for me and I'm very pleased.

I also opted for the bundle, which included essentials like spotter arms and front foot stubs—items I knew I’d need anyway. This saved me time and money upfront.

Ordering & Delivery Experience
I placed my order on Friday, Nov 28, and everything arrived by Thursday, Dec 4—incredibly fast turnaround, especially with free shipping. The shipping company called on Dec 1 to confirm my availability, and I received real-time updates from the driver on delivery day. When the truck pulled up, it felt like Christmas morning—an impressive stack of well-labeled boxes, each featuring a picture of the part inside. That attention to detail made organizing and prepping for assembly so much easier.

Assembly Process
After some garage painting and organizing, I tackled assembly solo. GIANT’s step-by-step YouTube video was a lifesaver—I didn’t even crack open the written instructions. The process was straightforward and enjoyable, especially since I’d been anticipating this build for so long. Pro Tip: Before starting, grab two large sockets or wrenches—the bolts and nuts are massive. Once you have the right tools, assembly is simply a matter of following the video step by step. Once assembled, I was blown away by the quality.

Cable System: Exceptionally smooth—feels like commercial-grade equipment.
Weight Stacks: I initially ordered 160 lbs but quickly realized I wanted more. I called GIANT, and they made the upgrade to 210 lbs effortless—just invoiced me for the difference and updated the order correctly.
Stability: The front foot stubs add peace of mind against tip-overs, and the entire unit is heavy and solid. This thing isn’t going anywhere.
Finish: Looks fantastic—clean welds, durable coating, and an overall premium feel. Everything is well-packed in bubble wrap and the cardboard boxes are thick. Nothing arrived damaged.

This purchase was the perfect launch point for my home gym build. All around it has rock-solid build quality, and unbeatable value. If you’re serious about creating a versatile garage gym, I can’t recommend this setup enough. It’s going to last for years, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. Now I just need a bar, bench and bumpers!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and positive review of our GIANT BD3X Axis Rack! We really appreciate you giving our company a chance, with limited reviews and videos online! We know there's a ton of options out there and are so happy to receive the product feedback. And again, thanks for taking the time to write such a positive review!

Very Impressed

Initially I was looking at plate loaded racks, but the Axis was so competitively priced it persuaded me away. The convenience of the selectorized weight can't be emphasized enough. The value is amazing, especially with the weight stack upgrades. The cable exercises are smooth and the trolley isn't too heavy. The customer service was a huge plus for me as well. They quickly answered all my questions before purchasing. Also, while I accidentally received the wrong cable length, they took care of it very quickly. I am a happy customer!

Excellent Functional Trainer Rack!

The BD3X Axis 4-Post - Half Rack Functional Trainer Bundle (Short) is excellent! The pulley cables are extremely smooth and very long, nothing that can't be achieved on this rack. Great value and better than the overpriced competitors.

Great product and even better service

My rack was received with some unfortunate freight damage. I let them know how it arrived and weeks later after it was all set up I told them what I found. They have gone above and beyond to resolve my issues. In the end, the rack can compete with any of the big brands, the deal was second to none, and their service is top notch. Highly recommend this product and this company.

High expectations exceeded

I had high expectations for this. The smoothness and quality exceeded my expectations! Great customer service too.

In the end - incredible

I researched half-rack functional trainers for months before buying this. I compared it closely against the Fringe Dane 2.0, REP Altitude, Mikolo 2.0, Titan setups, and pieced-together rack + cable builds. I dug into steel specs, hole sizing, cable ratios, and long-term compatibility.

I’ll be honest — the lack of in-depth reviews from people like Gluck or other major reviewers gave me pause. There just wasn’t much out there. But based on specs and pricing (especially on sale), I took the chance.

After building it and getting my first workout in, I can confidently say: this thing is an absolute steal.

The 3×3 / 1” ecosystem is legit. The 210 lb stacks (2:1) feel substantial when connected. The rack is rigid. The footprint is efficient. It competes far above its price point.

The process wasn’t perfect. Freight arrived rough. The wrong cables were initially sent. Two factory-installed bolts orientation required extra work to correct. But here’s the part that matters: every issue was acknowledged and resolved. Replacement parts were shipped quickly, communication was direct, and they issued a goodwill credit.

Could QC improve? Yes.
Did they stand behind the product? Also yes.

If you’re someone who does deep research and understands trade-offs in this category, I think you’ll come away feeling the same way: this is serious equipment at a very fair price. Frankly, once more credible reviewers get their hands on it, I wouldn’t be surprised to see demand - and pricing - move.

Very happy with the purchase.

Recent Purchase

I reviewed many products of similar configuration and settled on the tall half rack unit as thats what fits my needs. As a long tome weight lifter, and older now, I appreciate the company putting their efforts into the mechanics of the units, pulleys and cables. Also I did receive the wrong length cables, but before I had a chance to notify them of the issue I received an email that they had already discovered the issue and new cables were already in the mail. Thats called being on top of your of customer service mistakes will happen but its good to know the place where you spend your money is actually looking out for their customer satisfaction. Great unit, very smooth mechanics, very satisfied. Thank you Giant Lifting.
