OVERVIEW

One of the Most Versatile and Popular Specialty Bars on the Market

The Giant Lifting Trap Hex Bar is a staple in both commercial gyms and home gyms—a must-have for lifters who want strength, safety, and versatility in one powerful barbell. Built from heavy-duty steel with a chrome finish, this bar is designed to handle serious weight while reducing stress on your lower back and joints.

Compared to a traditional straight bar, the hex bar design positions you inside the frame, creating a more natural pulling motion that minimizes lumbar strain and improves lifting mechanics. It’s perfect for athletes of all levels looking to deadlift heavier, safer, and with better form.

Built for Performance and Comfort

The Giant Trap Bar is equipped with medium-aggressive diamond knurling on all four handles, offering the perfect balance of grip and comfort for high-intensity training. The dual handle design lets lifters choose between high and low starting positions—ideal for deadlifts, shrugs, farmers carries, and Romanian deadlifts.

This multi-grip setup allows for training variety, targeting different muscle groups and ranges of motion to maximize your results.

Durable Construction, Built to Last

Crafted from high-grade steel and finished in polished chrome, this trap bar is built to withstand years of heavy lifting. The durable coating protects against rust and wear, keeping your bar looking and performing like new even in busy gym environments.

Its balanced frame and welded construction provide excellent stability during heavy lifts, making it a reliable tool for both beginners and advanced strength athletes.

The Bottom Line

The Giant Lifting Trap Hex Bar is one of the best specialty bars you can add to your training setup. Its ergonomic design reduces stress on your spine, the dual-handle layout adds versatility, and the durable chrome finish ensures long-term performance.

High quality

Game changer

My deadlifts have improved tremendously since getting this!

Top notch

Love the weights and hex bar I ordered

Trap Bar

Everything was as described GREAT

Much smarter way of buying equipment

We are fortunate to live close to the Giant warehouse near Seattle. The quality is great and their convenient location makes it easy to head to their warehouse and look at stuff before buying.

We will continue buying all of our gym equipment from Giant.

Perfect!

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect shelf! It’s not too big or too small. Great price for the quality. I love how I can choose if I want the shelves flat or slanted for dumbbells. And you can customize the space between shelves. I was able to put this together by myself by setting the shelves on my spotter arms and bolting them into place. 5 STARS!!

trap hex bar

Great product and great company

Great Bar

My legs need a lot of work and since I don't have the room for a squat squat rack at home, I got the hex bar which gives me the same workout as the squat rack at the gym but taking up much less room. Also, this is the best made hex bar on the market.

The weights are solid, well made. Super happy with the hex trap bar, kettlebells and iron plates. Customer service was even better. I had a big order and they helped me load into my vehicle.

Hex bar

Purchase process was easy. I missed the fine print with the shaft coating being chrome and under impression with the picture being black zinc. Even assisted and helped bring it out to the car. Can't wait to use. Will definately get other equipment from Giant.

Hex Bar Purchase

Very happy and satisfied with my purchase of the hex bar. Along with the weights I bought they were all a very reasonable price. I will be buying from here again.

Hex Bar

I bought this a few weeks ago to help prepare for the new ACFT. It works great, exactly what you can expect from a hex bar. One consideration to keep in mind is what kind of plates you use. I only have bumper plates, and because they are a little wider than other plates, I am limited on how much weight I can fit on the bar currently.
That's not the bar's fault, though; that's an oversight of my own.

On top of this product, customer service is just top rate with Giant. I have gone into the store twice and worked with two different sales representatives. Both were helpful and courteous. Whoever is doing the hiring and training is killing it.

Solid Trap Bars. Even better Customer Service.

Picked up a couple of trap bars from the Tukwila location. The bars are fine but don't get them mixed up with the cheap version you'll find in big box retailers like Dicks. They might look the same but the ones found at Dicks are wildly inconsistently sized especially with the sleeve. These sleeves fit plates fine. The ones at Dicks are trash and cost about the same.

The customer service was great. Super easy and responsive to questions. On-site customer service was even better. Helped reconfigure the package to fit in my vehicle... bars came in actual boxes to protect them during shipping vs the ones you'll find from Dicks. Don't order trap bars from Dicks. Order them from Giant.

Always a classic

You get what you pay for and this thing is well designed. Little off with some of the bar alignment but seems to be an assembly issue rather than an engineering flaw. Still though, all hex bars are slightly imperfect. Would recommend regardless.

Good product & customer service.

I had some questions about shipping, my questions were answered via phone very quickly & order was recieved without issue!
I am a trainer from home so I needed additions for my classes.
I love the plates, bars, and dumbbells with rack, the quality is awesome & it really finished off my home gym!
