Solid All-In-One Option

I’ve been using the Giant Lifting Vertex All-In-One Trainer for about a week now, and it’s already proving to be a great addition to my home gym. I was needed something that wouldn’t take up too much space but could still support a full-body workout—and this delivered. Before buying, I spent a lot of time researching different all-in-one trainers and comparing features, build quality, and footprint. After narrowing it down, the Vertex stood out as the best fit for my goals and space.
The versatility is awesome. I can switch between cable exercises, squats, and presses without needing multiple machines. The pulley system is smooth, and the rack itself feels super solid—no wobble, even during heavier lifts.
Assembly did take some patience. The instruction diagrams could be clearer, but with two people, we had it fully set up in under 4 hours.
So far, I’m really happy with it. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up with regular use!

The Good, The Bad, and the Instructions

On day 3 since assembling and I'm conflicted on the Vertex. Some main features are great and are awesome to finally have in our home gym, but also a relevant amount of issues/red flags so far.

Smith machine-
Pros:
Glides great and feels solid and safe. Feels better than the ones I've used at our gyms locally.

Cons:
The highest peg you can store it at puts the bar at 5' 10" inside the rack and 5' 9" outside where the sleeves stick out. This means for me at 5'10 there's is no way to ever get the bar out of head-hitting space. So changing weights on the cable stacks requires ducking every single time forever or risk hitting your head. This is unfortunate since there is already space on the Smith track to travel another 2-3 inches, just not any peg that high to hook to. [5'6" partner has no issues]

Cable stacks-
Pros:
Truly the smoothest pull I've felt on a home trainer yet.
The 2:1 ratio gives tons of range and the d-handles that came with surprisingly feel really good even though they are plastic. I feel funny using these "cheapo" looking ones after ordering $80 "high-quality" ones online because these just feel 3x better and don't stick at all.
100lbs feel weight per side will keep me busy for a few years. They feel great.

Cons:
One of the pulley boxes/handles in my order does not line up with the slots well and is a pain to get set into place. On that same box the pin constantly loosens as well and has to be re-screwed into place and could cause it to unexpectedly slam down. Assuming this is a manufacturing issue and hopefully can get resolved.
Once again the height of the pulley towers could really be great if they went up just a couple more inches, if you are 5'8" or less you're probably good, but seated in between both stacks I have to be out an extra foot to get tension on the cables to get started which means for a few lifts I end up having to do unilateral... Which IS still very nice and a big improvement in our space*

The attachments-
Pros:
D-handles are great, leg roller seems solid and will use soon, leg press seemed gimmicky at first but with our bench set up with the right decline it feels way better than expected.
Cons:
Dip bars are too wide for me but also was uneven, low row plate is different from the pictures and attached differently than shown in the diagram as well.
The safety spotter arms, the j-cups, and most the other accessories are tight on the track and there are multiple metal-to-metal contact points when putting on and leaves scratches from just moving around. Since this is where the pulley boxes glide on it is unfortunate there isn't rubber/uhmw on the attachments for all contact points.
This makes me hesitant to even use the front safety arms it any if the attachments because I don't want to scratch up and compromise the cable track since I do really like those!

The looks
Pros:
Genuinely looks badass and is a great centerpiece for our gym.

Cons:
The giant logo on the silver cut back brace arrived scratched up and looks less than new. Really unfortunate since it's kind of the visual highlight and there's no reason for this part to ever get scratched up from use.

Shipping/packing
Pros: Arrived freight about a week after ordering and was all boxed up well with overall what seemed to be very well packaged.
Cons: even though things were wrapped well, there were scratches on some parts and I would guess it to have had scratches before being wrapped to ship.

The "Instructions"
Pros:
Technically it came with instructions?

Cons:
Seriously bad, a few pages of factually inaccurate references that basically give you a starting point to figure it out as opposed to telling you have to assemble.
No parts are labeled, I recommend going through and labeling the bolts yourself before getting started.
Step 1 for example has the main frame and 30+ bolts to use but doesn't tell you what order you will NEED to go in to get it all together. So a lot of reassembly as you go and figure it out. Some bolts go through the footing vertically so you need to have a setup to tighten those with 200lbs of rack pushing down and they will chew up your floor since they stick out farther than flush.
The few written instructions are vague, have typos, lack any help on adjustments, and even the measurement scale for parts is just wrong.

Overall I think we'll like it, but I'm worried about the longevity of the cable boxes/pins and how many small issues there are.

I'll update after we use it consistently for a while and see if some of the issues work themselves out.
