Regular Sleeve Version (16")- Equipped with dual 28mm knurled handles that are 25" on center with a center knurling marking.

Packaging has been updated to protect the different pieces of the barbell during transit.

The most common use for this barbell is for deadlifts, pressing actions, walking lunges, farmer walk carries, safety bar squats, and bent-over rows.  The truth is you can get creative and the possibilities are endless with the use of this barbell.  We hope you love it!

Additional Information:

This barbell is made for dropping at lower heights when performing deadlifts and shrugs. This bar is not made for dropping from overhead lifts or from a squat position.

Tolerances can range +/- 3% of all specs. We do not recommend this barbell with use of competition bumper plates since the tolerances of competition plates (50.4mm) are very tight and could cause an issue. Regular iron plates and bumper plates will work perfectly.

Very attractive bar

The opposite of an eye-sore in my home gym - I didn't realize how it would be manufactured so it was a nice surprise to unpack it and see the black with sparkle!

The handle knurling is a bit too aggressive to my taste, but I will not critique the manufacture of the product due to my own preferences as the bar seems fantastic and great value.

Does not accommodate bumper plates

When purchasing this trap bar I didn’t realize how small the area for plates was. I purchased bumper plates for safety and I’m very dissatisfied that I can barely load any of my plates on it.
Can someone reach out to me with a solution please? I spent a good amount of money on your products and am hoping to have a solve for this.

Almost Perfect, BUT...

I had been looking to get the REP Fitness trap bar, but my partner can't lift 70ish lbs. I / we wanted an open trap bar that. I was looking for an alternative option. I first came across the Giant Lifting Company from Coop's Garage Gym Reviews and then with Gluck's Gym. Watched a video from both channels and saw that they both had good reviews.
I own a home gym. I own a regular barbell and a Marrs bar. Both have those little smooth lines at the edge where the plates slides. If you run it with your fingers, it makes a smooth little vibration sound. Even when I would go to commercial gyms, all the bars have that texture where the plates slide in. I thought the Giant Trap Bar would have that as well. I was kind of surprised to see that the Giant Trap Bar didn't. It doesn't defeat the bar's overall usage, but it would be nice to see that feature in there. The knurling on the handles are fine for someone who has lifted "regularly". My friend who does no workout regular said that they knurling hurt their hands. With fitness gloves on, they feel nothing. The "intensity" of the knurling is not a deal breaker, but if someone is new to lifting, there might be some discomfort short term. The height of the trap bar when it is on its stands are high. My equipment rests on a 4 x 6 set up. I was worried I would have to buy a barbell holder or something to put on the side so I could rest the trap bar. NOT. The height of the trap bar while it stands is high enough that it clears my Griffin Fitness adjustable bench, thus eliminating the need for any barbell storage. When not it in use, I use it to hold some of my plates as well. Can only fit so much in a 4 x 6 setup.
Instructions were not clear as there were no words. Just images. I am no handyman, but can usually follow along with words. The bolt images were somewhat blurry and I wasn't sure what bolt was what. I say this because I also recently purchased a baker's that came from overseas and the bolt images were clear enough that I did not have to struggle trying to figure out which bolts were which.
I was a little bummed out to see that they had a shorter version coming out. It was not advertised when I purchased the trap bar, so it may have just been a timing thing. Fortunately, the arm length are not an issue when storing the trap bar.
I thought because they were a smaller business they would send some message in the shipment, but my guess they came overseas and straight to delivery. My trap bar was also delivered a few days ahead of schedule so that was a plus!!

Perfect Trap Bar

I just bought this trap bar and used it. For $300 dollars there is no trap bar that is better. The knurling is aggressive, it looks sleek, and it's balanced! It's so comfortable to use. After years of dealing with back pain doing conventional deadlifts (I have t-rex arms), I decided to give it up and get a trap bar. This is a complete game changer. Absolutely NO lower back pain. I could feel it being worked, but I left my session being able to go about my day no problem. The GLUTE soreness is no joke though!!! I love this thing. Easily GIANT's best product 10 outta 10!
